I had a wonderful time at this hotel in Kyoto. The location was excellent, close to historic neighborhoods and temples, and the staff was helpful and kind. The rooms were spotless and spacious, although a slight redesign could make them even better. The dining experience was worth the money, but it's in a sister hotel not too far. Overall, a great place to stay with a few minor areas for improvement.

The staff were extremely helpful. They even added a traditional futon bed so I could experience traditional Japanese sleeping arrangements. Their friendliness and knowledge about nearby places to visit truly stood out.

However, some re-design of the space layout could make it perfect. The location is fantastic, nestled in a quiet area along the river but still close to attractions and great restaurants.

Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience. The peaceful and silent nights near the Kamogawa river and tourist attractions were perfect. The room had a nice Japanese style living room but lacked furniture, with a minor issue with the washing machine.
